I hate the directgov website so much, it's the most useless thing that has ever existed in all of recorded time. I could have applied for tax credits months ago but I keep putting it off because the site makes me so fucking angry and their helpline staff are a bunch of unhelpful wankers. *smashkicksmash*

Yeah, the only thing worse than the directgov website is the people who work at the end of the telephone. Seriously, one woman rattled off a phone number to me and hung up without bothering to check if I got it or not. So that was helpful. It's not even that they're stupid - they're BEYOND that! Not even any common sense or courtesy. IDK about you, but I've found them fucking rude too. Can you try citizens advice? They might be slightly more intelligent.

You have to call the tax credit helpline to apply for them, that's the only way of doing it. To put you off claiming with their horrible "advisors" I guess. D
