Hi all, just joined - can't believe I didn't know this comm existed! I've been adoring Kurt/Brian for years and years now, and thought no one else did, so it's great to meet like-minded folk! Series three really culminated in the greatest K/B slashy moments, but I absolutely love series one and two, and even like series four  - yes, I succumbed. I must admit I was all set to hate it after what they did to my OTP, but it turned out Ben, Damien and Ewan were too slashy to resist.

Anyway, here's a link to my memories - there're a couple of bits of Teachers slash there, although they're fairly old so not wonderfully written! Still, you take what you can get in a small comm, don't you!

12:33 am - Teachers music vid - Brian/Kurt
Image
lakester
Focus: Kurt/Brian - Breaking up is hard to do
Episode: 3.9
Music: The Cardigans - Erase/Rewind
Size: 23.3Mb or 11.2Mb
YSI Link: File or smaller file

So, pretty much the story of episode 3.9, only shorter and with music, not words.

12:33 pm - Series 4 questions, rec and news
Image
lakester
I didn't watch series 4 in as much detail as the earlier ones. Therefore I now have questions.

:looks hopefully at community:

So in the first episode of season 4...Collapse )

And, if you haven't seen this before. I found The lost episode <-clicky. It's script format, set in season 4 and, despite a slightly disturbing tendency to call Brian Brain, does a good job with the character voices.

And if that didn't make you want to read it...Collapse )

Teachers - Series 4 is out on DVD from October 3, 2005.

1:01 am - Kurt & Brian - Two short fics
Image
lakester
Self-promotion is tacky, is it not? No? Good.

Two dialogue-only fics.

Fic 1: Awkward conversations?
"Oh you wanted a full bottle. You should have said. On the floor behind the sofa."

"What the fuck... I'm not even gonna ask."

: Kurt and Brian talk after the events of 2.4.

Fic 2: Answer-machine
"Lindsey. Lindsey, are you there?"

"Of course she's not there. If she was there she'd have answered the phone wouldn't she?"

"Maybe she is. Maybe she's fallen over and can't get up."

: Lindsey's answerphone messages - post season 3, refers to character information learnt in 4.1.

12:09 pm - Teachers fic rec/link

lakester
I found this short fic by Imagewliberation a couple of days ago and it captures the feel of season 2 very aptly. It's gen, and I can really imagine Kurt and Brian having this conversation on one of the evenings in the pub that we didn't see.

"You'd have anybody's boobs, even if there weren't a person attached to them."

Kurt glanced at Brian and nodded. "True."

So... Go. Read.

11:09 pm - Kurt's thoughts mid 2.4

I've been trying to get into Kurt's head.

The following double drabble takes place inside Kurt's head after Brian asks Kurt out for a drink but before the pub scene.

How do I turn down an offer of a shag?Collapse )

10:36 pm - Textual support
Image
lakester
I was procrastinating my way through an essay when I thought 'what slash pairings have a textual basis in teachers?' - like, a comment directly in one of the episodes. I came up with these - has anyone any suggestions?

Kurt-Brian:'I think Brian's about to declare his undying love.'
Kurt-Simon:
Kurt-JP:
Kurt-Matt:'Are you saying Matt wouldn't shag me?''Are you saying you'd want him to?' 'yes, er, no, pub?' 'Oh yes'

Brian-Simon: 'I'd take you out for a drink'
Brian-JP: 'Maybe its just JP you're attracted to'
Brian-Matt: 'Is its Matt wife you want to shag, or Matt?'

Simon-JP:
Simon-Matt: 'Simon said if you were a bird he'd shag you'

JP-Matt:

Anything? Anyone? :Prods </a></b></a>Imagesummerdownslash:

So there I was in the cinema, watching a trailer for Being Julia, a drama based on a W Somerset Maugham novel, set in 1930s London and starring Annette Bening and Jeremy Irons as married theatrical types. Bening's character has an affair with a handsome young man who looked vaguely familiar to me but I couldn't place where... until halfway through the film I went to see I remembered - it was JP! Which explains where he went at the end of series 2, anyway.

His hair was very short in it, and he looked about five years younger, which I suppose is why he didn't register with me straight away. Looks an interesting film, although I've no idea if it's any good or not.

But yay! JP!
