I didn't mean to stay away for so long, but I am trying to get back into some sort of routine.
In October we celebrated our daughter's wedding in regional Victoria. They married on the groom's parents' property under their 150 year old oak tree. The day was wonderful and the weather didn't disappoint.
In July Susan sent me this gorgeous little zipper purse as a gift. It is now the home for the pearls that I bought for the wedding. They seemed like a perfect pairing.
As for sewing, there hasn't been much. Some health problems bowled me over.
I did finish my little "Pear" quilt, from a pattern by Gail Pan. Loved appliquéing those little pears and I hand quilted the background.

And I finally added a label and let my daughter take home her "Tea Leaves" quilt.

Excursions have been limited too. Started wandering a little bit further from home. Last week end the girls drove me Linda's barn to see the annual exhibition. Loved the display and we were able to get lots of hints and advice from the lovely Jo Morton who was visiting from the US.
Her beautiful display of quilts.
I bumped into Miriam who posted a great selection of photos.
Earlier in the month we ventured out to Gisborne for a little early Christmas celebration. The company was great and the swap gifts were of the highest standard as always.
Our quilt group had an exhibition earlier in the month, and it was a great success. It always amazes me how such a small group of quilters can produce so much work. I wasn't able to be as involved as I might have liked, but I did manage to get there on the day.
Hoping my next post is a little sooner than this one.
