The future of framebuilding is bright! The Caletti Cycles 2026 Framebuilder Summit is taking place June 26-29th in Santa Cruz, CA, and there’s a fundraiser to get people out to it!
Caletti Cycles announces the 2026 Framebuilder’s Summit to be held in Santa Cruz. CA, on June 26-29. With over 20 years of experience fabricating custom bicycles, John Caletti is nothing short of a master builder. The Builder’s Summit is designed to pay it forward, passing decades of experience to the next generation of framebuilders. The submission window for applications is now open at Caletti Cycles.
The Framebuilder Summit will become an annual event, offering small groups of builders access to a wealth of insights and practical tips to help accelerate their learning, stay in business, and develop their craft. Naturally, this is not an inexpensive affair. With the help of the Made bike show and industry partners, scholarships for the Framebuilder Summit will be available soon.

After John Caletti’s road bike crash, his friends completed this Disoriented Scrambler to showcase at MADE. It is a flat-bar single speed gravel bike with asymmetric, double top tubes and a 2.3″ clearance that fits people between 5’11” and 6’2″ in height. This one-of-a-kind dream bike is for sale now at Caletti Cycles.
We’re all wishing John a speedy recovery from his crash and are sending him all our love. You got this, dude!
Chris King is raffling off this stunning Caletti to support outreach by both Silver Stallion and Warpaint, to Indigenous youth. Santa Cruz, California, is home to many wonderful framebuilders and many of which we’ve documented here on The Radavist over the years. From Rock Lobster to Black Cat, and Hunter Cycles, there’s no shortage of Shop Visits from the area to browse. However, one shop I’ve long wanted to document is Caletti Cycles, so when the Chris King Guest House event happened earlier this month, based out of the Caletti Cycles shop, I made sure to photograph this wonderful space along with one of John Caletti’s recent personal builds.
Let’s check out what goes on Inside Caletti Cycles below!
We’re here en route to the 2022 Sea Otter Classic after what feels like eons, and on our way to the event, we have been hanging out in Santa Cruz, California, at Caletti Cycles and the Chris King Guest House. Out of the Ashes is BACK! You can support @santacruztrails as they raise funds to help repair charred California State Parks trails. The trails throughout parks like Big Basin, Butano, and Fall Creek State Parks are a constant source of exercise and inspiration for me. It’s been nearly a year since the CZU wildfires, and there’s still a tremendous amount of work needed to restore these areas back to their former glory.
Head over to Santa Cruz Trails to get your entries! This giveaway is only live through August 9.
With Covid-19 throwing a wrench in the spokes of the traditional tradeshow schedule, even open houses have had to switch to an online, or virtual, format. We saw this earlier in the year with ENVE and now, the 2020 Chris King Open House. While it wasn’t safe to travel to Portland to document the bikes, Chris King’s in-house photographer Jacob Olsen did a stellar job at documenting all ten bikes, while videography team Modify Content knocked out some great, in-depth video profiles of these handmade marvels. We’ve got part one today, featuring Bingham, Breadwinner, Caletti, DeSalvo, and Mosaic, so let’s jump right in…
