Doris,
The last two of your blogs were really great but I canot seem to access the Auschwitz site.
Thank you Doris. So nice to begin the day by reading your thoughts here. What a day we had on Wednesday! I loved every minute of it. Maybe we’ve started a tradition? Like you, I loved the signs and the gentility of it all. All the best, Bar Scott
Dear DD, What a smashing shot. Thanks for sharing it. As always, you are required reading.
Warm wishes, Jack
Thank you, Jack. Are you still writing your wonderful jazz poems and underscored by live jazz in the background? I hope so. Miss you. xo
Okay Doris – you got me! love your Blog, thank you for reminding me to think, laugh and read—
Wow, so very glad to connect with you at Shavanos and looking forward to more of your thoughts and great way to connect and reconnect and leap!
Thank you. I can’t tell you how impressed I am with the quality of the writing that comes out of the Shavano poets. What a group you have!! As for next month’s assignment which calls for a poem in rhyme… I need to start thinking now, now the night before. Looking forward to our next meeting, Kate.
Hey Doris! I met you and mark on the Camino in October. I was with two other ladies from Colorado Springs! I was the dreadie.. 🙂
Headed near you this week and wondered if you and mark were gonna be around?! Would love to meet up for an afternoon coffee or a hike. Email me if this is at all possible. Hilary0214@gmail.com
Buen Camino! 🙂
Hilary
What great memories, Hilary. Yes! Mark and I look forward to reconnecting ASAP. Email with details and directions to follow.
So crazy. I found your 9/11 post. I was on that flight. Your retelling of the story almost exactly matches my own. The people of St John’s took great care of us.
Dear Sarah, Wow! On the same flight! The wonders of the Internet – little threads flying through the air – connecting such far-flung people. By any chance would you remember the number of the flight? I really want to thank the pilot, but I have been unable to do so. Please, if you remember, email me at ddembosky@yahoo.com. Thank you.
Hey, Doris. I was nominated for a Liebster Award and given the chance to pass on the honor so of course I’ve nominated you for a Liebster Award too! If you don’t know it, it’s sort of a chain-letter award bloggers give to other bloggers they really like. If you accept, you can find the rules by visiting 2000detours.com and reading my post, “I’ve Been Nominated for a Liebster!” but no worries if you don’t want to play along. I’m still thrilled to have mentioned on my blog how much I’m enjoying yours. Peace.
Hi Doris, I made a sweet discovery today while reading the Colorado Central Magazine, for I found one of my all time favorite professors had written an article on the Silver Cliff Museum. One thing led to another, and I found your blog! Anyway, I am excited that I found you, so I can keep up all the latest activities in your life. I read that you have a Jackson in your life. Aren’t grand kids the best? I now have seven, and my youngest is a Jaxon too. I am Ann Finney, now Bryant, and i have a blog too. Your encouragement was inspiring, and I have been writing for about four years now. Maybe one day soon when all the Covid craziness ends, we can meet up for lunch or a drink or two. –Annie
Ann Finney!! What a nice surprise! I am so glad that you are writing. I look forward to reading your blog. Lunch? A drink or two? YOU BETI!! I’m in Westcliffe now – you can come up or I can come down. .
OOh I would love to come up…love Westcliff! And I am thrilled that we reconnected.
Dear Ann, Would love to see you. Call 783-2697 before you come my way to make sure I’m in town.
