Talk about your creative process.
It feels like 10-15 years ago my creative process was very linear. I would get an idea and start writing from the very beginning until the end. Frequently, I didn't know how the fic was going to end until I'd written most of the way there! I very rarely just wrote a random scene for a future fic because it felt so out of place to me.
Nowadays, when I'm on a roll and I'm writing every day for 15 minutes I'll write just anything. Doesn't even have to be a particular fic I'm currently working on. I think that way is more freeing but it's also a little toooooo freeing, if you know what I mean. :P When I was writing last year's birthday drabbles, I would write most drabbles in an evening or maybe two if I was a little stuck on the ending. I absolutely love drabbles and it's so satisfying to get 100 words of just right, but sometimes I do wish I was a longer fic writer. Maybe there's still time!
I feel like these days I talk more about what I'd like to write than doing the actual writing. But, when a new month rolls around I feel like "okay, this is going to be the one where I get the words down." Considering I've also been watching and listening to some fantastic stuff (looking at you, Gladlands/Star Trek/Flight of the Icaron) it's been making me want to actually get some fic written.
I probably was more prolific when I was monofannish, but I am really enjoying bopping around in other fandoms and toying around with some orginal fic ideas as well.
