[Action]
[This day began with Raine setting out to the library from House 1 as an eleven year old child... but halfway across a bridge, that changes – it’s sudden, with a flood of realizations accompanying it - and she grabs onto the railing to balance herself. More importantly, she makes a detour to the clothing shop instead. Her coat is long enough for it not to be too awkward, but it is still chilly outside. Some may note this in passing.
Afterward, there's a lot more for her to reflect on. Mentally catching up the past few weeks, having the reminder of those younger years once more fresh in her mind. Not the first time it had happened, but it was longer this time. ... The last time was three years ago. And today, she had been in this world for four, exactly.
Instead of resuming the eleven-year-old's plans, Raine takes a walk through the village, purposeful as she organizes her thoughts; to onlookers, she will seem very distracted. Eventually she'll notably stop at both the flower shop and tea shop, and then practice some magic in a clearing, to try and get in touch with herself again, before eventually heading back -- toward house 42. It has been a while.
... Although, she supposes, it might be best to make a note on the journal at some point, for those she hadn't seen during the day, considering the situation.]

... well, it would seem that I've been returned to the village in earnest, experiment aside. For those of you who had assisted me during that time... thank you. I appreciate it.

Thank you. It's all right; something like that was bound to happen sooner or later.

Welcome back.
[Voice]
How have you been doing? [Maybe she'll be more honest about it, now that she's not talking to an eleven year old.]
[Voice]
...well, I hope you did.

He's plenty distracted, enough that he won't notice her should she choose to approach.]
[action]
She does a quick, but casual scan of the store. Approaching him is one of the last things she'd rather do, especially since he'd likely be less willing to deal with her as an adult than a child.
If he's spending all of that time looking for something though, eventually she'll go over.]
Do you require any assistance?
[action]
He glances coolly over his shoulder.]
...I can manage on my own.

[Ah. At least things at school can return to normal again.]
[voice]
[And a pause. She thought she might have heard something a few days ago, but she hadn't given the network much of a thorough scan, particularly while still at that age.]
How have you been doing?
[voice]
I'm...fine. Doing better. A...a friend of mine went back home a few days ago.

He pauses in his walk when he sees someone coming down the road, though. Especially when he recognizes the hair from that distance.]
[action]
Raine is still distracted, but as she steps closer, her gaze focuses on someone standing in the road. With that hair and that height, it can only be one person.
She quickens her step to help bridge the gap.]
... Albert.
[action]
[He turns fully to face her as she walks towards him, looking her over quietly for a moment.]
It's been a few weeks.
[An understatement for sure; it has been over a month since he had seen her last.]

[ just her name and the sound of a smile. nothing more; not yet. her relief has to catch up to her. buffy -- so distracted in her grief over giles -- hadn't even managed to come across the young rain.
she doesn't realize what's happened. ]

[The last time she had been kidnapped, she had been deposited on the roof of the Slayer's house. Strange how long ago that all seemed.]

The school is empty today, so that's probably not a bad idea if you're fine with making the trip.
