DMU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine offers degrees in anatomy, biomedical sciences or osteopathic medicine.

    Our four graduate programs within the College of Osteopathic Medicine have small student-to-faculty ratios. Our master’s in biomedical sciences degree, for example, has a student-to-faculty ratio of 8:1. DMU Research Identifies New Strategy to Strengthen Cancer-Fighting Immune Cells

Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences faculty member Elitsa Ananieva, PhD, has led a study that could help improve the effectiveness of cancer immunotherapies by enhancing the ability of the body’s T cells to sustain their fight against cancer.

Free Back-to-School Physicals July 22 at Des Moines University Clinic 

Des Moines University Clinic will provide free back-to-school physicals and backpacks for  K-12 students on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. No insurance is needed. Interpreters and interpretation services will be available.
