From Industrial Revolution to Cultural Visitor Destination
Farfield Mill is a former Victorian textile mill in the Yorkshire Dales, which has undergone a transformation into a cultural venue. It is located in the Western Yorkshire Dales and was originally built in the 19th century as a woollen mill. Over time, it ceased operations as a woollen Mill, and its purpose has shifted to serving the community as a hub for art, craft, culture, and heritage.
As a cultural visitor destination, Farfield Mill hosts exhibitions, workshops, and events that showcase contemporary craft, textiles, art, and heritage. The building itself retains much of its original industrial architecture, offering visitors a glimpse into the past while providing a modern space for creativity and learning. The centre also supports local artists by offering them a platform to exhibit their work, studio space and provides educational opportunities though creative workshops.
