Freightos for Forwarders supports the full cargo procurement, pricing and sales cycle with key products like advanced rate management, quoting, booking, online sales and payment and is trusted by over 5,000 global forwarders.

Is Freightos for Forwarders just a cargo booking platform?

No! Besides booking cargo, you can manage your negotiated rates, tender rates from carriers, rate and share branded quotes to customers, sell online via sales portals, integrate procurement with your TMS, and even handle payments all through the same system. Freightos for Forwarders has over 15 years of experience digitizing cargo rating and booking for forwarders globally.

Can Freightos for Forwarders support ocean, air, and ground cargo?

Great question. We’re certainly best known for our air and ocean rate management, quoting and booking but we absolutely have strong, best in class ocean and ground support. Ground in North America is particularly strong, supported by our sister company, 7LFreight by Freightos.

I’m a forwarder. Can I use Freightos for Forwarders for free?

Absolutely. Our booking product, Book Air, is free for forwarders to search, compare, and book air cargo across over 75 carriers. We do have additional paid modules if you want advanced features like rate management, self-service portals for customers, or API integrations to your other tools.

Does Freightos for Forwarders only work with IATA forwarders?

Not at all. If you’re non-IATA, you can still tap into many airlines by using our integrated payment solution (Freightos Pay) that handles credit and settlement between you and the carrier. All without bank guarantees or long, bureaucratic processes.

How does Freightos for Forwarders make money?

We do not charge forwarders money for booking or change rates to make more money! We have different revenue streams, including fees for our paid rate management software, our sales portal solutions, fixed fees from airlines per booking (since we help them reduce their distribution costs), and the like. Rates are not changed in order for us to make more money and we do not take a percentage fee from general air cargo bookings.

Where does Freightos for Forwarders get its rates?

Are they the same as carrier rates? We have direct integrations with hundreds of carriers, including dynamic integrations with over 75+ carriers. The prices you see on Freightos for Forwarders are the same rates you’d get from the airline, just with the added bonus of instant availability checks. We also support manual rate updates using powerful rate management technology. And yes, our dynamic rates are received directly from the airlines and typically do not differ from their baseline rates.

Can I upload and manage my own contract or BSA rates?

Absolutely. Freightos for Forwarders lets you upload and manage your own static rates — including contract and BSA rates — so they’re right there when you need to quote. Our team helps format and error-check rate sheets (even if they come in as Excel, PDF, or screenshots) to make sure the details like weight breaks, validity, surcharges, and lanes are spot on before they go live. If something looks off, we flag it and fix it — saving you from painful manual cleanup. Once uploaded, your rates show up alongside live airline rates, so you can compare static and dynamic pricing in a click. You’ll even have access to expired rates by backdating your search. It’s all about giving you control, all streamlined and searchable, just how it should be.

Is my data really kept private?

Yes. We have experience managing rates, bookings and sales for the largest carriers and forwarders in the world. We established our reputation by putting the customer and their data first. Customers may allow us to use their anonymized and aggregated data for the general market intelligence solutions we provide them, but this is absolutely not a requirement. We’re ISO 27001 and SOC2 compliant, so your data is definitely private and secure. We also keep your rates strictly your own. Competitors like to badmouth us about this; we prefer to keep our heads down, treat your data more carefully than our own, and ship products that help you work better and more efficiently.

Does Freightos for Forwarders integrate into TMSs, sales portals, or my agents?

We sure do! We have API integrations that let you slot Freightos for Forwarders right into your TMS, into your own sales portal if you’re not using ours, or share with agent networks for streamlined booking.

Does the platform support dangerous goods (DGR), perishables, or special cargo?

You bet. Freightos for Forwarders supports a wide range of specialized cargo, including dangerous goods (DGR), perishables, temperature-controlled shipments, and even more niche cargo like human remains (HUM) or fresh fish.

Can I pay agents or airlines using Freightos for Forwarders?

Freightos for Forwarders is a product under Freightos, a global cargo pricing booking platform that connects carriers to forwarders and forwarders to shippers. 7LFreight by Freightos was acquired in 2019, focusing on air, ocean and domestic rating and booking in North America. We share technology and integrations, but each product zeroes in on different forwarder needs.

I’m an importer, not a forwarder. Can I use Freightos for Forwarders?

Nope – sorry! Freightos for Forwarders is built specifically for freight forwarders and carriers. If you’re an importer looking for instant quotes and bookings, check out Freightos Enterprise instead.

The WebCargo product name has officially transitioned into Freightos for Forwarders.
