Our peaceful protest was because another preventable school shooting happened at Covenant School in Nashville & the People's House chose to ignore them and expel us instead! We must work tirelessly to protect our kids, communities, to end gun violence, and protect our democracy.

To be fully honest, I had been losing my fight. My fire was dimming. But watching @brotherjones_ and @Justinjpearson has genuinely been so energizing and inspiring that it reminded me why southern democrats and activists do what we do. I am so deeply grateful to them 💜
