This week, I wrote to the First Minister in sheer frustration by the news that the Scottish Government rejected the £2bn replacement Monklands hospital plan.
Lanarkshire deserves a new hospital, one that is modern, efficient and local.
Therefore, I’ve asked the following questions
- Whether any formal risk to the approval or deliverability of the Monklands Hospital business case was recorded on any official Scottish Government risk register before polling day.
- Confirmation of the earliest date on which any such risk was flagged to the Director General for Health and Social Care in the Scottish Government, and the earliest date on which it was flagged to ministers or special advisers.
