    I'm running for re-election alongside a vast coalition of local leaders and working families. Solidarity is how we will make housing affordable, fully fund our schools, and address the climate crisis. Solidarity is how we recognize our shared stake in achieving a better world.

    Nearly a year ago, we launched our campaign for State Senate. Thanks to dedicated staff, hundreds of volunteers, and thousands of supporters, we won. I am excited to be the first Asian American to join the PA Senate and will be honored to represent the First District.

    What is happening in our city right now is absolutely insane, with police trapping and teargassing peaceful protesters. I have blocked streets with people many times, and never been met with anything like this. We need a de-escalation of this brutality right now.

    Elated, immeasurably proud, and frankly in tears over the victory of my friend and comrade @ZohranKMamdani. His was a campaign of utmost integrity, relentlessly focused on the struggles of the working-class. Grateful at what he’s done and will do for his city and our country.

    With 100% of divisions in the district reporting & 15,196 votes currently counted, we've won the in-person vote, with 68%. We're ahead by 4,835 votes. But there are still thousands of votes to count, and we intend to fight for the voices of each & every Philadelphian to be heard.

    Committee assignments came out this morning, and I’ll be the Democratic Chair of the Senate Urban Affairs & Housing Committee! I’ll also be serving on the Appropriations Committee, Communications & Technology Committee, Local Government Committee, and Aging & Youth Committee.
