Happy Holidays! Contrary to misinformation (imagine that!), I am fit & healthy. I will not be in the booth for 2 more games: the Ottawa/Philly roady in January. I look forward to calling years of Bruins games. I am enjoying a holiday week family vacation. First time in 17 years.

Congratulations to Judd Sirott, the new voice of the Boston Bruins on NESN. A seamless transition and a perfect fit! A good man, a good friend, and a guy who has left his thumbprints on every rung of the ladder. I’m happy! So should be all the members of the Bruins Tribe.

For the record, confirmed with the Bruins, Boston has sold out 540 consecutive games. Tampa Bay does not have the longest sellout streak in the NHL.

What NBC hasn’t shown yet, regarding the unfortunate injury to Svechnikov: the Carolina wing playing hobby-horse, riding Chara on the back apron of the goal. You poke the bear, you take your chances. No one wanted to see Svechnikov hurt, but he bit off more than he could chew.
