A well-preserved 45-metre stretch of the Appian Way under the McDonald's in Marino, southeast of Rome. The road was discovered in 2014 during the construction of the building. McDonald’s decided to sponsor the dig & worked with the archaeological authorities to preserve the road.

The world’s oldest unopened bottle of wine.🍷 Dated to AD 325, the so-called Speyer wine bottle is a sealed vessel, presumed to contain liquid wine. It was found in 1867 when archaeologists discovered a Roman tomb near Speyer. The bottle has handles shaped like dolphins. #Vinalia
