Meals on Wheels called Dearborn PD for a welfare check of a 73yo man who wasn’t answering his door this morning. Dearborn PD was able to make contact with his sister who lives in Lansing and could provide a lock box code if necessary. An elderly woman who lived around the

Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud addressed concerns about young drivers last week and said at least half of the traffic tickets Dearborn PD issued last year were to drivers between 16-24 years old. “I recommend to all parents give your kid a bike until the age of 25.”

The interest on foreclosures in the city of Detroit is as inhumane as payday loans. Foreclosing a home because of $154.86 in property taxes is absurd. It’s mind boggling that a developer is comfortable asking the city of Detroit to forego $800M in property tax revenue. Who wins?

The @CityofDetroit is giving out free at-home COVID-19 tests today at Huntington/TCF/Cobo. It’s a drive-thru operation and went quickly this morning. You must live or work in the city.
