💯@labourlewis and now we understand Ofwat have thrown out the creditor's dodgy rescue bid as well. 12,800 people wrote to Ofwat telling them to reject the deal. It's time for the Government to act and bring Thames Water into public ownership.

Agree with the diagnosis of Whitehall inertia. But devolution without an ownership and control agenda just decentralises the extraction. Devolved commissioning of privatised essentials is still the privatisation premium, administered from English regions rather than SW1.
