    My 4 yo daughter and I were discussing the future in the car today. She said “mommy, I’m going to be president someday and everyone will vote for me and I’ll make everything right.” I said that I believed that. Then she said “and I can bite the head off a wolf.” So..

    Today I watched my 5 yo set down a Disney Princess Mylar balloon and jab the plastic stick into it until it popped. Then she began to cry. I asked “Charlie, honey, why did you do this?” She replied “I don’t know! Everything is hard right now.” And she is correct.

    I recommend you actually go to medical school and get a medical degree before dispensing medical advice. Maybe then you wouldn’t be spreading dangerous lies that jeopardize human lives.

    I love my children more than anything in this world. My youngest turned 1 today. Tomorrow she will be receiving her next set of routine childhood immunizations, including her first MMR, thank goodness. I trust science and evidence-based medicine, so I protect my kids and yours.

    (1/3) This is the first Pride that I’ve felt like a tiny part of, and I wanted to share something. Let me be clear, I am very lucky in the love and support I have in my life and, though a bisexual woman, I will spend my life with a cis/het man, so will not know prejudice.

    I’ve spent the last ten minutes trying to explain the plot of Groundhog Day to my 4 yo and I’m realizing that her confusion lies in the fact that she already lives like each day is the only day that exists and now I’m laughing and weeping simultaneously.
