This is actually.... really awful. Toiletry size restrictions started in the summer of 2006 - 18 years ago. It took 17 1/2 years to start donating confiscated toiletries? Am I missing something? Wouldn't the real story be what happened to them between Aug 2006 and March 2024?
Yes! I am obsessed with travel bloggers with really specific niches (like loving tea and going to fancy inns for high tea and such). Their followers are always SO fierce and loyal and honest.

New Yorkers are the kindest people I've ever met. Case in point: I once got stuck in the subway turnstile (can't say how, exactly, but luggage and a belted coat were involved. Very inelegant.) and people literally picked me up and lifted me over it and then just kept going.
One day I want to do an essay about how the TV show M*A*S*H normalized young, single men being caring and competent with childcare (like how Radar and Klinger knew how to comfort young orphans). There needs to be more programming to reinforce this.
