Romário is a Brazilian professional footballer and manager, and politician. He was a Federal Deputy from Rio de Janeiro, from 1 February, 2011 to 1 February, 2015, and a Federal Senator from Rio de Janeiro, since 1 February, 2015 to 1 February, 2023. A striker, he plays for America-RJ. He was previously with Vasco da Gama, PSV Eindhoven, Barcelona, Flamengo, Valencia, Vasco da Gama, Fluminense, Al Sadd, Miami FC, and Adelaide United, and the Brazil national team. He managed the Brazil national team, initially on an interim basis.

Romário is the son of Manuela Ladislau Faria and Edevair de Souza Faria.

      Hard to believe he’s really 56% European, he’s quite dark. I was guessing something like 43% Euro, about 37-39% black, and the rest native.
