Rob Base

Robert Ginyard, Jr. (May 18, 1967 – May 22, 2026), better known as Rob Base, was a rapper from Harlem, New York. He was also best known for being one half of the hip hop duo Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock and the hit “It Takes Two”.

He released his debut solo album, The Incredible Base in 1990.

On May 22, 2026, Robert passed away at age 59, following a battle with cancer.
