Do you have any benchmarks for this tool? it seems very cool, but would like to know how performant it is in big projects (linux kernel for instance) ? Maybe others have the same question, it could make sense to add them to the README. (I understand that performance may not be your first goal for this project)

You are alright, the first goal was use gitql in not too big projects, so I dont have benchamarks yet.
If you tried to run it in a big project and have some stats to share, please go ahead. This issue is a great , I will try to do it asap.

I'll try to make some time on the weekend or in the next week, but not sure if it's going to be possible. Nevertheless, as soon as I get some free time to benchmark I will do a PR :)

This is a good idea! To start with, what would be good examples of large repositories? A couple that do come to mind is the Linux Kernel and Ruby on Rails.
