Get in Touch

Welcome to Immaculate Heart of Mary Farmstead!

Located in the sylvan hills of Richmond, New Hampshire, in the rugged Monadnock Region, IHM Farmstead is operated by members of the Slaves of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Over a century ago, the land was used for raising sheep, but it had reverted to forest before our community arrived. The Brothers and Sisters have brought agriculture back, and we practice regenerative agriculture, permaculture, and other holistic methods to be good stewards of God’s creation, leaving the land better for our presence and our animals.

Thank you for visiting our site! Each purchase you make helps to support responsible and humane animal husbandry that respects this beautiful patch of God’s good earth.

Raised With Care

Testimonials

Two women interact with piglets in a barn setting, one dressed in a nun's habit and the other in a patterned shawl. They are sitting on straw, with a larger pig nearby, creating a warm and engaging scene of animal care and connection.

Our Practices

At Immaculate Heart of Mary Farmstead, we raise meat rabbits, pigs, and chickens (layers) as well as a few geese. We also have a seasonal garden. Right now, we are able to offer for sale pork shares (half and whole), pork cuts & fat, and, when available, live piglets. Eggs are available when there is a surplus, and we also have breeding stock of American Chinchillas. Please check out the store to see what is currently available.
