On behalf of the Mexican Society for the Study and Conservation of Birds and the International Ornithologists’ Union, we are we are thrilled to invite you to come to Mexico to attend the International Ornithological Congress in 2026. We would be honored to welcome you as our guests in this beautiful country.
To be eligible for the International Ornithologists’ Union membership discount, your membership must be valid until November 30, 2026.

As part of its capacity-strengthening efforts, the Swiss Ornithological Institute (Vogelwarte Sempach) has kindly offered a small grant to support a limited number of young African researchers interested in presenting a poster or giving a talk at the International Ornithological Congress 2026 in Mexico.
If you are an early-career researcher—having recently completed your Master’s degree and/or just begun a PhD—and have your own research results to present, we warmly encourage you to apply.
This is an excellent opportunity to show your work, expand your network, and engage with the global ornithological community.
