I personally think these kind of "Non-Canon" stories that have no existing characters and altered lore while still having the main aesthetics and themes of Star Wars is a great way to go forward.

It's entirely its own fresh new thing while still having much of what people want more of from the franchise.

I'm hoping that Disney+ will have the visions episodes also listed under the main season for The Ninth Jedi to avoid confusing people.

They did something similar with Doctor Who where the episode "The Church on Ruby Road" was included in both the "Specials" and "Season 1" listing.

There are a surprising number of physical games on PS5 that are unplayable from disc without downloading the entire game just like key cards.

I don't like it being $80/$70, but it's not the first time they've sold Fire Emblem at that price so they have solid data it will sell.

Fire Emblem Fates was $40 for a single route and you had to buy each of the two remaining routes as DLC for $20 each (or buy the special edition for $80 if you could find it). And that's why I didn't play Fates.

Nintendo seems to be one of the few publishers that accepts not every game is going to sell well and green lights weird little games that aren't for everybody because they know their bigger titles will make up for it. A flop from a Nintendo-owned studio won't put that team in danger.

My personal theory is that Fate of the Old Republic will be about the transition from Old Republic to High Republic eras (basically the Canon version of the New Sith Wars from Legends).

But in general I'm surprised how little the High Republic has gotten outside of books considering it was supposed to be Disney's next big push for the franchise.

My favorite Symphogear mood whiplash moment is the opening scene of the third season.

A space shuttle malfunctions during re-entry to Earth and ground control can't risk it crashing into a populated area so they launch a missile at it. The astronauts on board accept their fate... and then anime happens.
