Quillbot is an AI app with the goal of helping you write better. In addition to automatically correcting any spelling errors, something that many other programs already do, the app offers up suggestions to help expand your vocabulary or simply ensure your texts are properly punctuated and more readable.

Create your account in just a few seconds

The first thing you need to do to start using Quillbot is to create a user account. You can log in with Google, Facebook, or Apple. Once logged in, the app will be at your full disposal. However, you do need to keep in mind that the Free Plan only allows you to paraphrase a maximum of 125 words and has a maximum of 6 uses per day. You will need a Premium subscription to get unlimited paraphrasing and advanced grammar recommendations.

Works with lots of different apps

From the main tab of the Quillbot desktop client, you can check out all the compatible apps, including Chrome, Edge, WhatsApp, Slack, Notepad, Word, Outlook, and Teams. As it is compatible with Chrome and Edge, any text editing tool you use within the browser itself will also receive the recommendations. If for any reason you want to disable the app for a specific service, you can easily do that as well.

My experience with Quillbot

After writing for a while with Quillbot, the overall feeling is positive. By default, the app acts as a traditional grammar checker, informing you of all the errors in a text. If you ask it to, it can also rephrase any sentence to make it sound more elegant, which is always a nice option to have. The important thing to remember is that what makes a text yours is that you were the one that wrote it.
