2026 IPO ELECTIONS

IPO is no longer accepting candidate applications for 2026.

2026 Nominations for Federal (Congress, US Senate), Statewide, State Legislative and local Office​

​​​

IPO's nominating caucus will complete deliberations for the Oregon house and senate on July 19th.  No candidate applications are accepted after the posted July 1 deadline.

​

Here is the schedule of caucuses held during the 2026 election.

  • The first caucus was be held January 11, 2026.
    * Application deadline was January 1 for consideration in the first caucus.

  • The second caucus was held March 22, 2026.  
    * Application deadline was March 10 for consideration in the
    second caucus.

  • The third caucus was held May 17, 2026.
    * Application deadline was May 1 was for consideration in the third caucus.

  • The fourth Caucus was June 7th.
    * Application deadline May 31 was for consideration in the fourth caucus.

  • The fifth Caucus was July 5th.  The Caucus will complete its deliberations on July 19th.  

  • * Application deadline was July 1 for consideration in the 5th caucus.

  • The Independent Party of Oregon completed its normal 2022 non-partisan nomination process on 8/22.  Non-partisan endorsees included Christina Stephenson for Labor Commissioner, Morgan Schmidt for Deschutes County Commissioner, Beth Wytoski for Yamhill County Commissioner, Clay Bearnson for Medford City Council, Sal Peralta for McMinnville City Council.

  • The Independent Party of Oregon completed its 2022 partisan nomination process on July 17th. The nominee list is here

2020 

Partisan Offices

  • The Independent Party of Oregon (IPO) completed its 2020 Presidential Preference poll and election for statewide offices on May 12th, 2020.
