Latest Neocron News and Information

Today we are launching the THN issue tracker. The issue tracker is hosted on our GitHub organisaiton.

All THN users can use it to report any issues or bugs with any part of the Tech Haven Network, or request a new feature on the THN. Please note any feature request may or not be accepted.

You will need a Github account to open a new issue, but we do accept that not all user have or want a GitHub account, so as an alternative you can report issues to @Brammers or @THN on the Official Neocron Discord server in the #bugreports channel. A big thanks to @Xanthos and the Neocron support team for allowing us to use the channel, but please remember to @Brammers or @THN for any THN bugs.

It's been a long time. How have you been?

There is going to be some changes in the near future, that will keep the THN going for the community of Neocron Evolution for a long time. More detailed news soon.

One of the first things that needs to be done, is say bye to Tiwtter and hello to BlueSky. Now some of you think we are a little late jumping off, and that's fair critism. Some of the technical and access changes to the API have broken some of the automated patch news updates and also the THN CPU twitter account which posted Outpost changes. These have been issues since since a certain person took over Tiwtter in 2022.

However for a social network that festers and amplifies extremist content and the dismantling of trust and safety measures, the THN will not use or be associated with the toxic social network known today as X.

Over the last 2 weeks the THN has done some software upgrades to:

• The THN Wiki
• The THN Items DB
• The THN Rares DB

Software upgrades are updates to the latest versions of the software, so no new features have been added. However should something not be working please drop us a line over on the forums.

And also this is a chance for us to say a quick hello to all the members of the Neocron community - we are still here.

The THN Items Database has been updated with the new PA's for Droners - https://db.techhaven.org/power-armor-lists/remote-users recently introducted with retail patch 242.

As there are a lot of Power Armours in Neocron these days, we now added extra lists to view the available power armour by combat type.  (M-C, H-C, P-C, R-C, APU, PPU and RCL)

The rares DB has been upgraded to version 2.6

The main changes to the UI is that is looks like the rest of the THN, but all users shoud see little or no difference in usage.

The main bulk of the work has been refactoring and upgrading the code from the original old framework to a modern framework, since the orginal code was written back in 2005! There will be further updates to the older code that remains as this is the 2nd major step to bring the codebase up to modern standards, with new features being planned to 3.0.
