Tay Keith, a music producer who lent his talents to hits like Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode”, died at the age of 29, TMZ reports. Metro Nashville Police confirmed his death after they did a wellness check on the producer in his apartment in Nashville. There is no cause of death at the moment, but the police do not suspect foul play. Throughout his career, he’s produced songs with Beyoncé, Eminem, Drake, and BlocBoy JB.

Born Brytavious Lakeith Chambers, the Tennessee music producer scored his first no. 1 hit with “Sicko Mode” while earning his degree at Middle Tennessee State University — he was nominated for a Grammy for the track. He told the Huffington Post in 2019 about the intentional decision to finish school while working with critically acclaimed rappers. He said, “I could’ve easily dropped out when I got the call from Drake, or I could have easily decided to go DJ for Blac Youngsta, or I could have decided to hop on the road with BlocBoy, but I chose to stay in and focus on getting my education to prove a point. It was important for history — not just the history of my family, but the history of the rap game. People gon’ remember that.”
