My neighbour’s 7 year old daughter comes to my house almost every weekend to finish my snacks but I enjoy the company Once she comes, she commands that I put Moana or Frozen for her on the Tv & I obey then she sits on my couch (doesn’t say a word) watches tv until she leaves…

My wife is fond of using her phone till the battery runs low and then I’m always the one charging it for her. Every night before we go to bed, as I’m plugging mine, I’ll plug hers too. It now became my responsibility to charge her phone battery for her every night. I got tired

Her mother, Chinyere, is a single mom who owns a hair salon & is hardly at home. Ada’s visits became something of a silent arrangement between us. It wasn’t spoken, but I could tell that Ada enjoyed coming over—maybe cos it was quieter here, more comfy compared to the busy salon

My neighbor is fond of leaving her child with me whenever she knows I'm around in the afternoon so she can rest while the little girl turns my house upside down She made it a habit so much that once the little girl of 4 knows I'm around, she'll come over by herself

It was Ada, holding a half-eaten biscuit and waiting to enter. I hid and didn’t answer. The next thing, her mother appeared out of nowhere, dragging her back. I could hear the sounds of her flogging her daughter and her screams. That was the last time Ada came to my house…
