Ok fuck it, I'll spill — All my friends still single in their 30s? They're hunting unicorns. Somewhere along the way, a man stopped being just a man. Now he's supposed to be your therapist, best friend, passionate lover, future father of the year, financial provider & probably a

American women have never been this resigned to staying single. The challenges of finding a romantic partner have been made more complicated by a growing divide in education and career prospects between men and women. 🔗 Read more: on.wsj.com/448WoC4

I don’t think my parents have said “love you” to me in my life as many times as OpenAI employees have said to each other on Twitter.

13 years in America, still on a visa. Which party is going to make it easy for *legal* immigrants from India get at least a residency permit faster?

When one decides to immigrate to a different country, it’s basically admitting that the country you’re immigrating to provides you with opportunities & values that you wouldn’t have in your home country. If you truly think your own values are superior & you find yourself

The reason I left France after a year of living there is because it’s not a serious country when it comes to capitalism. You can cry all you want about how America sucks at this or that. But let’s be real. There is no real social mobility in Europe. If there was, we’d all be

Here's the other trap: Even the ugliest of women can always find someone willing to sleep with them. Open a dating app at any age, & boom—10 matches in 10 mins. Most dating apps are hookup apps in a trench coat. The pool of truly viable men gets smaller after your late twenties.

Being an educated woman and making decent money adds more things to the laundry list of expectations, but the underlying problem is the same.

I’ve been on both sides of the H1B Visa. For context, I graduated with a Masters degree from Carnegie Mellon, interned at Nvidia, worked at Apple, then at Uber & eventually started my own company. Every year the US grants 85,000 H1Bs. For context, approx 2.1M ppl immigrate

If I had to do it all over again, I’d have 2-3 non-negotiable values, deprioritize looks in general (6ft, bald, fat etc) and focus on financial compatibility. Be like VCs betting on their future potential instead of venture debt providers who look at your current P&L

NGL, I always thought he had zaddy energy. Back in 2012, when I interned at Nvidia, he’d invite the interns over to his place and throw a whole-ass frat party. He’s quite fun!

Can confirm. Just yesterday, my teammate wrote a custom JSON parser that would have been a slog for 1-2 days within hours using GPT4. GPT4 is like giving each engineer their own intern who does 70-80% of the job. The remaining 30% is constraints & biz logic. Startups are going

I don’t think people understand how fast AI is changing the game right now. The team is already using GPT-4 to build entire components in 10min that otherwise would have taken us days. We don’t even have experience in the language these components need to be written in!

One of my Indian friends left to go back to India permanently today. This is a rising trend in my Desi groups. The biggest reason to return so far has been the lack of intimate social relationships here compared to the ones back home I guess a great career & $ only goes so far
