- Traumatic events never feel fully real when I’m covering them. At home in the shower this morning it started to sink in: unhinged people attacked my workplace, my second home, because the President told them to. My God.

- Gotta say I didn’t expect this. In Bemidji, MN (pop ~15k), where @realDonaldTrump rallies tonight, a crowd of Biden supporters lines the main drag, signs waving.
- Back outside the White House. Today the perimeter has been pushed back another half block. Federal law enforcement of some kind, but they won’t identify themselves, and all insignias and name plates have been removed.
- Cipollone says “Not even Mr. Schiff’s Republican colleagues were allowed into the SCIF” during impeachment investigation. That’s 100% false. Any member of the three investigating committees could attend, and many Republicans did!
- PELOSI not budging. Just told a small group of reporters: "The wall is not about money. The wall is about morality. It’s the wrong thing to do. It doesn’t work. Its not effective. It’s the wrong thing to do and it’s a waste of money."
- My inbox and twitter timeline are flooded with statements from Democrats (and even the Chamber of Commerce) in support of the Biden COVID rescue plan. I had almost forgotten what a coordinated policy rollout looks like.
