This week into this weekend, expecting plenty of marine layer clouds with patchy fog, and falling temperatures. Clouds will clear in the afternoon for most areas, but may linger later in the day close to the coasts. #socal #cawx

Heat is developing this week, and higher humidity will cause it to feel warmer than expected & make it more difficult to cool down. Stay hydrated, and watch for signs of heat illness in yourself & others. Never leave anyone in a parked car, vehichles become deadly hot quickly.
High pressure builds over the area bringing hot conditions to southwestern CA, from the interior to the coastal valleys. Monsoonal moisture will also arrive Tuesday, leading to temperatures feeling hotter than expected. Stay hydrated, seek shade, and watch for signs of heat exhaustion in yourself and others. Seek shelter in cool buildings, and never leave anyone in a parked car. Vehicles can become dangerously hot quickly.

A 3500 foot marine layer and strong onshore flow helped generate some drizzle and light rain showers across the region. Most areas received .02" or less but a couple spots in Santa Ynez Range and the Santa Lucias received 0.06". #LARain #CAwx

Heads up neighbors....It will stay relatively cool through Sunday, then a quick heat up for the middle to end of the week. #cawx
Suggested Actions Continue to monitor the latest forecasts, as amount heating is still uncertain. Adjust plans now to stay cool next week. Check in with the elderly to make sure they know of the heat up.
