    📣 UNSW scientists have re-introduced platypuses to the world's second-oldest National Park. The Royal National Park in Sydney previously supported a platypus population but the iconic native animal has not been seen in the park in 50 years.

    A new cancer treatment method developed by UNSW and @KidsCancerInst researchers has been found to be effective at reducing leukaemia in cell cultures and mice. The method targets cancer cells without damaging healthy cells like in traditional chemotherapy.newsroom.unsw.edu.au/news/health/ne…

    🏆 We got the record! Last year Sunswift 7, a solar-powered car designed & built by UNSW students, set a world record for the fastest EV to travel 1000km on a single charge. The attempt has now been verified by @GWR & is officially in the books as a Guinness World Record! 👏

    Researchers from UNSW and the @GarvanInstitute have found that exposing tumours to bacteria converts immune cells into cancer killers. The work could lead to better treatments for people with advanced or previously untreatable cancers.

    💬 "The more that habitat was impacted by humans, the more restrictive the diet became." UNSW research has shown that living in human-modified landscapes is narrowing the diet of the Tasmanian devil - which could increase the spread of the fatal Devil Facial Tumour Disease.
