Block chains won’t bring us the *really* interesting next web.
CRDTs will.
Much less sexy, since they don’t involve money. Much less momentum and ecosystem around them. Most applications are in toy stages.
I’ve been working with them for 2.5y now and couldn’t be more bullish.

- Replying to @anselm_ioCRDTs are the core primitive that will transform the web from a “creator → server → consumer” model to a “collaborator ← → collaborator” model, at the deepest level. CRDTs are what the web should have been. I’m at the start of making that a usable reality. (stay tuned)

- My full talk from @localfirstconf is up! Featuring 1y of progress on @jazz_tools. And: two big announcements, both previewed in the most sketchy, yet successful demo I've ever done. - Waffle, a Discord/Slack alternative built on Jazz - Soul, our upcoming AI toolkit for Jazz

00:00 - I want to see more uses of LLMs as little ways to “pepper in” common sense and fuzzy understanding, as a small piece in otherwise classical, deterministic software.
