Capt Lloyd W Williams a US Marine killed during the fight for Belleau Wood showed more perseverance. Asked 2 retreat by the French he said: “Retreat, Hell! We just got here.” He was killed attacking: 11/6/1918-when dying told a medic "Dont bother with me. Take care of my men" RIP
