The most damage to #bitcoin development was done by altcoins and their successors. The noise and scam feedback loop made the entire space anathema to most FOSS devs, our natural allies. That's why I have zero tolerance for alts.
.@coinbase is in the casino business; they care as much about #bitcoin as a pit boss cares about the roulette wheel bearings. It's a detail, and they have people to handle that.
Their job is to keep the regulators happy while shearing as many sheep as they can.
