#75 - thrice as nice

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to make a project using at least three patterned papers...this one cuts it with 4 so I am in the clear...phew...the Christmas tag was made for a sample to sell the 7 gypsie tags at my local scrapbook store, but I kind of stole the idea from a similar project off of pinterest...tweaked it to be my own though....play along with us, will you?

#74 - feather sympathy

This week's challenge at the Opus Gluei is favorite technique...I thought this technique for the feathers was quite a neat one and decided to play with it a little....a bit of washi tape and some wire with a snip here and there and voila....feathers....play along with us, will you?

#73 - red alert

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to make a project with the colour red....being the Christmas season, this was an easy one for me...I have been totally addicted to step cards lately and this is the creation I came up with for this challenge:

#72 - have yourself a merry little Christmas

This week's challenge at the Opus Gluei is to show off your Christmas projects...I have been busy making and mailing cards this past couple of weeks and here are a few that I have completed (there are at least 4 of each kind made...most of them, I made 6 of cuz that was how the paper divided up nicely - about 50 cards or so...I am so done with Christmas cards right now....I am putting it all away until next October)....play along with us, will you?  Oh, and have a super awesome Christmas season!

#71 - favourite technique

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use your favorite technique...right now I think my favourite technique has to be die cutting stamped images...I am completely hooked on them...this card has all the snowmen and the tag die cut and stamped....made a few of these ones this year!

#70 - let it snow

Brrrr...with all the snow storms in the States and the cold weather here, I decided the challenge this week at the Opus Gluei is "LET IT SNOW"...so let's see your projects snow related...I did this card in two different ways to show clean and simple and a little more fun....play along this week, will you?

#69 - flower sticker birthday set

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is called "free is good"- use something you got free from somewhere in your project...I got one of these sticker sheets free at a crop that I went to back in April and thought I would use it up...I whipped up a quick set of birthday cards with some scraps I had laying around from some other projects...play along with us, will you?

#68 - thanks fashion girl

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to make a project showing thanks - American Thanksgiving is around the corner and that is the focus of the challenge...mine isn't a very "fallish" looking thank you, but our ground is now covered in snow and winter is on it's way (and will be until at least May) - so I thought I would concentrate on springy-er looking colours...play along with us, will you?

#67 - reflections

This week's challenge at the Opus Gluei is to be reflective - either in the literal sense or for yourself...this card is as reflective of anything I have probably ever made in the shiny sense of the word - the girl also feels as though she is thinking in deep reflection, so it sort of hits both aspects of this challenge in my opinion...play along with us, will you?

#66 - not ready for Christmas

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a Christmas set for a project other than Christmas...these little bunnies are included in a Christmas set from Lawn Fawn - to me they look more valentine/birthday, so that is the kind of card I made...birthday greetings...play along with us, will you?

#65 - "unbeleafable"

This weeks challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use some leaves in your project...what better way to use leaves than in someones' hair?  I love this image and have had her for a while, however, I haven't used her until today....why?  Cuz that is just the way I am...a collector instead of a user....but she is no longer a virgin stamp....she is now used and I love the way she turned out!  Play along with us, will you?

#64 - something for me

this week's challenge at the Opus Gluei is to do something for yourself.  I love sentiment stamps...LOVE them...and I love wood grain paper...just can't get enough...so I made myself this little inpirational card to look at on my desk at work....should replace the hallowe'en one I put up a couple of weeks ago...just need to shove it in a frame and voila...done...and then it is still ready to give away when I am done looking at it :)

#63 - rolling rolling rolling

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use round in your project...this one has so many round aspects that it hurts...first the dome ball  and all the circle cuts and then the million styrofoam little balls...they are still rolling all over my craft room...everywhere...turns out there was a hole in the bag and when my daughter squeezed it to hand it to me they blew up everywhere....but the end result is worth the endless vaccuuming...these guys are sooo cute in real life and will have a space on my Christmas tree for years to come!  Join in with us this week, will you?

#62 - have a bootiful day

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use halloween type stuff...I am not a halloween card maker, but I do think this set is super adorable, so I had to play with it...I think I will put this one in a little frame and put it up on my desk at work for the next couple of weeks, cuz it is just fun and my workplace is incredibly bland and dull....

My friend Lauren of the Jingle Belles and Shopping our Stash has issued a pink Christmas Card challenge where she and her partner in crime will be donating money towards breast cancer research for all the cards entered, so, even though I haven't participated in a challenge lately, this was one worth hopping on board for!  Join in too for this fabulous cause!

#61 - oh my monster girl

This week's challenge at the Opus Gluei is to use a halloween theme...I don't generally make cards for halloween, but I did come up with this little one using monsters and halloweeny colour...hopefully it qualified....play along with us, won't you?

#60 - keep calm and have a cupcake

This weeks challenge at Shopping our Stash is "sweetie" - use something sweet on your project for someone sweet....nothing is sweeter than getting a cupcake so that is what I thought of for this challenge....I hadn't used this stamp set yet and the papers were scraps, so bonus!  This was the last canvas butterfly from my package that I was "holding on to" for something important someday...just used it up...yay me!  Play along with us, won't you?

# 59 - give thanks

The challenge at Shopping our Stash this week is to use fall colours on your project...we have Thanksgiving weekend coming up this weekend and a couple of dinners to go to...love this time of the year...the weather has cooled way down and we are hoping for a nice day this weekend for a trip to the lake for turkey!  Play along with us, won't you?

#58 - sunshine on a crabby day

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use sunshine and/or clouds on your project...this was a fun little guy that I used to teach a class at my lss with...I thought he turned out quite cute in the end...inside is the phrase "oh crab, I forgot"....play along will you?

#57 - shower curtain fun

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to make a card using your shower curtain as an inspiration...ours is just a simple boring dot one, but it made kind of a fun card....

why don't you join in the fun?  You can even use one of the design team curtains if you don't have one of your own!  Just make sure to include a picture of your curtain when you play along!

#56 - birthday butterfly

This week's challenge at the Opus Gluei is "happy birthday to me" - it was my birthday over the weekend and the girls at work sent a card around for signing for me...the funny part was that I had this card with me in the pile of cards at work and one of the girls used it to "give to her mom" and lo and behold it comes around signed and lands on my desk....it feels strange making your own birthday card...but hey, what can I say...they like them. #55 - oh no you din't

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a picture of a person on your project - real or stamped.....I have a few of these retro ladies that I picked up a few years back and just don't really use them often enough...I also like this sassy little phrase and had all these scraps laying in the scrap pile....the ribbon is probably 10 years old and I finished it up...whahoo!  Play along with us, will you?

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is to use a chicken in your project...I love this little paper chick and I love the paper piecing and glasses as an add on - I was teaching a class at my lss and got to use this stamp set for the class...liked it so much that I had to add it to my stash...such a surprise lol!  Play along with us, will you?

This week's challenge at the Order of the Opus Gluei is to do artists trading cards or ATC art...I am not an ATC person....but I made this one as my hubby and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary this week and felt it was kind of appropriate....also played around with some glitter ink to see it's effects...play along with us, will you?

#52 - Don't crimp my style

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is "don't crimp my style"  - you must use something corrugated on your projects...this paper came already corrugated for me, so I didn't have to locate my crimping tool...which is good cuz I haven't seen it in a while and am not really sure that I still have it in my stash....but now I may just have to look for it because I do know that I did own one at some point in my scrappy life...play along with us, will you?

#51 cow and more cows

This week's challenge at Shopping our Stash is the ABC's - you need to do a project with something that starts with the letter A and B and C...I chose Animals, blue sky and clouds...I made this card for my niece's teacher as he has a thing for cows and it was her special request...how could you turn that down?  Play along with us this week, will you?

#50 - a little vacation planning

This week's challenge at the Opus Gluei is all about vacation...I am on vacation from work right now and had a bit of extra time on hand (ha ha ha), so I made this little book copied from a class I took a few weeks back. We are planning a cruise in February to the Bahamas with our next door neighbours...I can't wait for the warmth and escape from winter...and I am also addicted to cruising, so that helps too. I made them this book for the photos from our trip...I will add them after the vacation as a little surprise for them.
