I meant to write a proper review but I don't even know. It was okay I guess.

I liked it less than season 1, which I loved, and more than season 2, which I found tremendously boring (you can really tell which season was based on a Terry Pratchett novel and which was not).

It's good to have any kind of conclusion at all and not be forever left on an awkward cliffhanger meant to set up a season 3 that never came. But that's a damn low bar.

I liked the Jesus character, and the scene of him handing out endless pizza was fun. The show didn't actually do anything with him, though. I don't know why he was there other than to point and say 'look we have Jesus!'.

I also liked the ending.
SpoilersRestarting the universe to create an in-universe AU that is actually our real world is a fun twist. Crowley and Aziraphael meeting again in another world is timelessly romantic.

...and everything else in between was pretty boring. Like, the main story arc. Hmm.

So in conclusion, I'm glad we got this but I don't need to rewatch.

You and I watched the same show.

Yeah, the whole idea of the plot of the Second Coming was abandoned so fast it gave me whiplash. Jesus handing out pizza made me cry, though.

Well, it's good to know it's better than season 2, at least? I really should get around to watching it. (Thanks for setting my expectations appropriately low. ;-/)

I finally got around to watching it a few days ago and it was... okay? I'm not really satisfied with the ending, though I don't hate it like a good part of the fandom seems to do, and I also can see why people do like it.

It was so very apparent that this was supposed to a series that got edited down to hell. Speaking of editing, that was really bad sometimes, to the point that I was wondering if I'd missed something.

I really enjoyed Jesus and would've liked to see more of him. If they had kept more with the theme of S1, it would've been far better to have him confront God and have Aziraphale and Crowley be chaotic bystanders again, but obviously they couldn't do that anymore after they had focussed S2 so much on those two (and I love them but I think it did the series a disservice).

Focussing on Jesus being lost and Aziraphale and Crowley having to find him while trying to resolve their issues would've been much more interesting IMO than the whole book storyline, which would've made a better minor side plot towards the end perhaps. Or really focus more on the whole Second Coming stuff, which indeed was completely thrown out after like half an hour.

I am glad that this series got some kind of resolution instead of being stuck on an awful (and unnecessary) cliffhanger. But I think they could've done more with it.
