So, I'm Galadhir pretty much everywhere. I write fanfic and original fiction. I spent ten years as a professionally published author. Then I burnt out badly and spent a further seven years not writing at all. I rebuilt my writing muscles by starting on fanfiction again, and am now - very slowly - back to writing original fantasy.

I was a big Stargate Universe fan, which is where my blog tagline comes from - the joke being that SGU is about the crew of a starship called Destiny, and that everyone who ended up as part of its crew did so by mistake, no qualifications required.

My most recent fandom was MDZS/The Untamed, but I've slowly drifted away from that one, and I'm on the lookout for a new fanfic hyperfixation to light up my life. Currently most of my creative energy seems to be going into belly dancing.

I like all kinds of SF/F, and pretty much exclusively SF/F. Also fanfic, original fic, narrowboating and podcasting, with a bit of permaculture, sewing, morris dancing and belly dancing for variety.

  • Transformative Works Policy: [Blanket permission to podfic any of my work, or write anything based on it. Please link me if you do, though, I'd love to know.]

  • Current Passion [I wish I had one. I distract myself with sewing, bellydance and renovating my son's narrowboat, but I would love to have a proper fandom again.]

  • Where to Find Me: [mainly here on Dreamwidth, or on Tumblr, also as [personal profile] galadhir]

  • Unrepentant villain fan, and if the villain doesn't catch me, then I can be found simping for some unimportant side character whom nobody else cares about. For some reason I just can't take to heroes.

Every so often I think "wouldn't it be a good idea to list my pronouns, gender identity and sexuality so people would know where I stand?" and then I think, "no, it's none of anyone's bloody business. They can talk to me as a person," and I continue not to.
