+Personal Information+
Personality/demeanor: People often say Gwennelyn is her mother's daughter through and through, and they are right: she is very kind, serene and empathic towards all, be they human or animal. She is willing to offer a listening ear at any time and always sees the good in others or tries to unless they prove otherwise. And even then, she will still search for the good, because she believes it is there somewhere inside them.
Primary Animal: mute swan
Magickal Talents: healing, communicating with animals (particularly birds), therapeutic listening and frenzy healing/reducement.
Strengths: Gwennelyn is skilled in all aspects of healing, having learned at the feet of her mother before she was even of age to join House Reul-iùil, but she is particularly adept at mental healing techniques and the calming magickal skills to draw both animals and people out of frenzies or panic/anxiety attacks. She is also talented at helping to settle arguments and other non-physical disputes, and has a knack for noticing/picking up on the soulmate or romantic bond between people.
Weaknesses/Flaws: Gwennelyn is far too trusting and, in some instances, too sensitive. She believes that everyone, no matter how evil or corrupted, has some good in them.
Goals: heal whoever needs healing, be it physical, emotional or mental, and help as many as possible to find their soulmates.
Hobbies: swimming, ballet, watching and communicating with birds (swans are her favorite). she also dabbles in poetry and watercolor painting.
Friends: her cousins Eriean and Rhiana, the majority of her House members, Elowen Celtigar, Tanwen Gealach
Enemies: Gwennelyn has no chosen enemies, but holds no love for those who would harm others for the pleasure of it.
Notable Ex-Sig. Others: none
Pets: none; however she has created a large bird-friendly garden in A Marrach Ailean that she tends to when she is there.
Residence: a suite in the Castle she shares with her sister Valentina, and a small cottage in Santorini.
Occupation: main - ornithologist; secondary/casual - therapist and poet
Carried Possessions: a small gray velvet satchel which contains a small notebook, several packets of healing herbs, and a pair of two-inch white opal stones in their own packet. No one but her knows the purpose of the last item.
+Physical Characteristics+
Hair Color: black like the night sky with misty highlights

Her preference of dress is a last gasp to the girls of ancient times -- flowing toga-like gowns and often bare feet.
Voice: a soft and soothing alto
Height: 5'3"
Build: a cross between willowy and waifish
Distinguishing Marks: tiny one-inch scar on her chin, put there by Sikiira Diavol

+History+
Gwennelyn was born of an unfortunate match; even though Alluria Reul-iùil and Tiernan LaTigrah discovered they shared a soulmate bond, their relationship was highly contentious. Her parents were like night and day, and she spent much of her childhood trying in vain to broker a peace between them and lessen opportunities for fighting. Tiernan would disappear for periods, always citing House LaTigrah duties as the reason for his absences, whilst Alluria claimed he was irresponsible. Regardless of the disputes between him and Alluria, he always came back to see his daughter.
Being witness to so much discord between the two people she loved most in the world, Gwennelyn began to mediate not only for her parents, but for friends and then even strangers she encountered. Soon, she became known as one of the best people called upon to settle disputes; even if people did not agree with her summation of the dispute in question, she listened to all sides and did not play favorites. Her innate sense of noticing the romantic or soulmated chemistry between people led to many of them requesting her assistance or judgment on the strength of their bond or potential for a bond. Not all of these couplings turned out as she hoped, but she did her best to guide the requesters towards the love they sought out.
Some speculate that this is why Gwennelyn herself has remained single throughout her many years: swans mate for life and so would she. This theory is not too far off base, though she far prefers to spend her time in the service of others and of nature.
In more recent times, she has had a lot to contend with. The Third Court War shattered many bonds among the Glish -- and it not only cost Gwennelyn the lives of several of her friends, but also her beloved Aunt Llynya as well as her father. Grief-stricken with the loss of her sister, her mother has gone into seclusion, her whereabouts known to none. Gwennelyn must now cope with being a figurative orphan, the ballast for her younger sister Valentina, and this new, harsh world that has survived the Third War.
+OOC+
Model: Jennifer Connolly
Character's Played Age: many years
Character Inspiration: a painting by artist Carlos Cartagena. The original idea was that this character was intended to be the daughter of Helaine LaTigrah; as a Reul-iùil, she was to be the antithesis of Helaine's wild personality. However, after discussion with fellow players, she became the daughter of Lady Reul-iùil instead.
