In Reversal, Oklahoma Medicaid Agency Plans $218 Million in Provider Cuts
Days after its board was told no provider cuts were coming, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority filed plans with the federal government to cut $218 million in hospital Medicaid payments — a 20% reduction that surprised the Oklahoma Hospital Association and contradicted assurances given at the agency’s own budget meeting.
