“Is it okay to punch Nazis?” has been downgraded to “is it okay to crack an egg on a Nazi’s head?” and the answer is still “no”? It seems the only acceptable to answer to the question “What is it ok to do to Nazis?” is “Elect them” or “Invite them on to breakfast television”...

I see some ppl saying it’s not cool to boycott Harvey Norman over the acts of one franchisee, and that’s fair... It’s a much better idea to boycott Harvey Norman because Gerry Harvey is a bigoted piece of shit.

Kids in Year 5 & 6 are old enough to go to Australia’s Kid Prisons so I think they’re old enough to have opinions on police racism and police violence 🤷‍♂️

The great thing about living in Australia is that emu eggs are huge. So much yolk in them. Just leaving that bit of trivia out there, apropos of nothing, in case anyone finds such information of interest.

The biggest problem with Abbott as Special Envoy is that the PM didn’t look at Indigenous Affairs and ask “What does this portfolio need?”, he looked at Abbott and asked “Wtf am I gonna do with this prick?”

Everyone complaining that a 9yr old is too young to have a political opinion in a country that has its age of criminal responsibility set at only 10... If she's almost old enough to go to jail in Australia, then she's old enough to have opinions.

“KAK is Australian royalty!” “You mean she’s an anachronistic symbol of colonialism who enjoys far more power and privilege and attention than she deserves? I totally agree.”

Stop confusing Welcome to Country with Acknowledgement of Country. They are not the same thing. Also, don’t acknowledge soldiers or settlers or anyone other than local mob when doing an Acknowledgement of Country. It’s really not that fucking complicated, people!

“You’re so lucky you were invaded by us! Just imagine where you’d be without us!!” they say, over the smouldering embers of a land they are dangerously close to making inhabitable through their greed and incompetence, to the people who sustained this land since time immemorial...

Nigel Scullion, the minister for Indigenous Affairs, voting in support of what is widely known to be a white supremacist slogan, ‘It’s ok to be white’, makes his position as minister entirely untenable. He needs to resign.

We all just have to accept the fact that Jan 26th is Australia Day. As we all know, that’s the date that Cpt Cook rode Donald Bradman to a Melbourne Cup victory in Botany Bay, beating Adolf Hitler and thereby winning WWII for Australia... so stop trying to whitewash our history!

*adds ‘police brutality’ next to ‘blackface’ and ‘slavery’ to the list of things that white Australians pretend have no history in Australia when they talk to Americans*
