Cecil (セシル, Seshiru, Cecile[1]) is a character in Rune Factory 5. He is also one of the available bachelors.

Personality[]
Martin's naïve younger brother who idolizes detectives and is trying to become one himself in order to track down their missing parents. He and Martin don't talk much these days, but even though they're a little distant, Cecil still loves him with all his heart. His insatiable curiosity helps him make friends with the protagonist.
Appearance[]
A boy with youthful appearance, Cecil has light skin with blue eyes and pink hair adorned by a black paperboy hat. He wears a white shirt worn beneath a yellow vest held by two orange buttons, both of them are covered with a red coat. This is paired with black pants with gold stripe and dark brown lace-up boots with black ties.
Story[]
Cecil was born to a family of two parents and an older brother, Martin. At some point, his parents went missing and he began wanting to become a detective to find them.
Romance Events[]
Event 1: Top-Secret Confidential Documents[]
The player finds Cecil in the SEED outpost, talking to Livia. He is looking to be hired to help with problems because he needs excitement in his life. Livia asks him to bring a top-secret confidential document to people around town and gather their signatures. She assigns the player as Cecil's bodyguard.
When the player approaches Livia about the document, and she reveals it's just a sign-up sheet for a town meeting. Since Rigbarth is a peaceful town, she had no other tasks to give him. Cecil is excited for the opportunity regardless, and he dictates they should split the signatures with him asking women and the player asking men.
After they finish gathering signatures, the player Cecil in Lackadaisy with Yuki, Beatrice, Simone, Scarlett, and Elsje. The group is discussing Yuki's health and Simone's medical skills. She says she tests her medcine on herself and is therefore worried about the small sample size, leading Cecil to consider it a case to solve. Beatrice offered to volunteer, but everyone immediately told her no.
Cecil and the player return to the SEED outpost and report to Livia. Cecil got too distracted conversing with people and forgot to actually get their signatures. He apologizes and is about to run and get them when the player notices the date on the sheet is strange. The meeting is set for the sixth Friday of the month, a day that does not exist.
Learning that the assignment was a lie is upsetting to Cecil. He intends to go to apologize to everyone but is stopped once again by Livia who says they'll actually hold the drill after all. Cecil's mood immediately improves, and he leaves to get the signatures he forgot to collect.
Event 2: Unnamed[]
Cecil, Julian, and Hina are playing in the Great Tree Plaza. Rather, Cecil insists that it is not a game but instead an investigation. They're investigating the mystsery of why kids laugh when they're running at full speed. He says it'd be creepy if adults giggled when they were sprinting. Julian calls out his hypocrisy, saying he was laughing the most out of all of them. Hina and Julian are both called to dinner, leaving Cecil and the player alone.
The kids returning to their families made Cecil think of his mother and father, who are both explorers. He has no idea where they are, only that they left on an expedition when he was little and never returned. He insists that he's sure they just found something important and have been investigating it and says he's proud of them.
Cecil spots Martin walking down the street and runs off to join him. He deduces Martin was delivering something for Darroch and is returning to the smithy. Martin confirms this and says he can return home early tonight. Cecil is happy about this and says he'll make Martin his favorite fruit salad to go with dinner.
