Thing #1 -- I have finally had time to properly clean, straighten, and organize my work desk. I feel SO much better. April and May were busy and chaotic, there was SO much just having time to set something down on my desk so it could get sorted later before I had to move on to the next project.

Thing #2 -- I'm not going to link the story, but, in a classic example of "you don't know what you don't know" I burst out laughing when, in the middle of an otherwise fine BYFO story, boxers were described as being tight and confining.

Thing #3 --Ralph and I took a wonderful 10 day long vacation to Stuttgart, Germany. The weather was unseasonably hot 85-87F every day, no rain, cloudless sky, until the day we left. It was like being in Florida, but with no AC or iced drinks. But still better than it being rainy, cold, and windy, like it was until the day before we came.

I highly recommend Stuttgart as a place to visit. It's got multiple museums, multiple gardens and parks (by law, the city has some sort of green space every few blocks), a world class arboretum, thermal baths, excellent food, and a great public transit system (though the main train station is always under construction) It's ethnically diverse and from what we saw, queer friendly. And it's not overly touristy. I walked so much I got blisters and learned a new German word, "Blasenpflaster" blister plaster.

And if you're flying over on Condor, the upgrade to Premium Economy is worth every penny. Actual leg room. A seat you can recline. The seat is hard, though, so you'll want to sit on the pillow they give you.

And something else about Thing #2 (boxer shorts): it threw me out of the fic when I was reading a due South AU set at the time of the Klondike Gold Rush and the writer referred to some character as wearing boxer shorts...a style which had not yet been invented.

We fly Condor about every other year to fly to Frankfurt (to visit my husband's relatives in Belgium) and I agree those seats are hard. With that airline I recommend if you can bring an inflatable seat cushion.

I'm glad you had a great vacation in Stuttgart. :) I've liked all the German cities I've visited over the years. Love the green spaces and public transportation.

Sounds like you experienced weather similar to our Berlin trip: rainy when we arrived, 90s when we returned from our cruise.

Glad you had a good time!
