So we're all seeing in the news about long lines at gas pumps in Russia due to Ukraine's drone strikes destroying/damaging so many refineries.
The real blow hasn't landed yet.
Russia moves a shit-ton of stuff by train. Trains that need diesel.
And winter is coming. Where is the fuel oil for the boilers going to come from?
'Nuff said.

Date: 2026-07-10 04:02 pm (UTC)It is a lovely thing to see. And allegedly the Orange Shitstain has given UKR permission to build Patriot missiles. I'm really not sure that's a good idea to divert resources for them, their current drone strategy is extremely effective.
The thing that I really love is that with all of the strikes that Russia has done against Ukraine's energy infrastructure, I feel it's only appropriate that Russia feels a cold winter.

Date: 2026-07-11 10:39 am (UTC)But I feel for the mass of ordinary people in Russia who will suffer from fuel, food and necessity shortages, some of whom will die. They had no say in voting Putin in (unlike in the US elections, as the US wasn't a fascist police state then) but it's the ordinary people who'll pay the price for Putin's fascist power grab.
Ukraine is paying a terrible price and I'm rooting for them to eventually win. I'm just sorry that so many oppressed people in Russia will also suffer.
