Sundayclub Reveal New Single/Video "Blue Wave"

Manitoba dream pop/indie rock/shoegaze duo Sundayclub have revealed their new single “Blue Wave” and its accompanying video.

The song features on their upcoming self-titled debut album, which will be out on July 10 through Paper Bag Records. Pre-order it here.

Described by the band as “dreamy, gut-punch pop,” SUNDAYCLUB explores the strange limbo of early adulthood: that feeling of being caught between who you were and who you’re becoming. On their first full-length, sundayclub arrive poised and self-assured as they weave together a glowing world that blurs the line between past and present.

Of the new offering, Courtney Carmichael shares:

“It’s about wanting to be a different, better, and more evolved version of yourself despite not being there yet, and seeking escapism in the past as a way to find solace. I felt impossibly restless at the time of writing the song and was just generally tired: tired of feeling like I wasn’t progressing, tired of being patient with the record we were making, tired of feeling vulnerable and overlooked. By looking back into the past, I could escape into a feeling of wistfulness to distract myself from how frustrated I was in the present.”
