CD Sunday Plus Challenge #187 - Hosted by Meg

Hello and welcome

I can't believe it's time for our next challenge over at CD Sunday Plus.

I haven't been able to do as much card-making as I'd like just lately as I'm having a bad flare up of arthritis in my hands.  Fortunately, I'm still managing to do some crocheting, which is very good exercise for my hands and keeps them moving!

Here is my inspiration for this challenge:

All the elements on my card are from Do Crafts Creativity CD-Rom 'At Home With The Jones's'.  I've had the cd-rom a very long time and love the artwork on it.

Hello and welcome to the start of our new challenge over at CD Sunday Plus

My card for this challenge is a birthday card for my brother-in-law.  He lives up in the highlands of Scotland and likes to go walking.

To make my card I used dies and vignettes from Carnation Crafts Sunrise To Sunset Collection.

 Hello

The last 2 weeks have certainly flown by!

The weather here is all over the place!  We've gone from scorching heat to non-stop rain!

Welcome to the start of a new challenge over at CD Sunday Plus

My card for today was made using the Wine Buffs cd-rom.  There are lots of fun images on this cd-rom.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge #184 - Hosted by Me

 Hello

Welcome to my blog.

I'm loving that the days are so much longer, and it's now light when I get up (I'm an early riser) and only goes dark a short time before I go to bed.

Today is the start of a new challenge over at CD Sunday Plus and it's my turn to host.  I'm looking forward to seeing all your wonderful creations.

Here is my inspiration for the challenge:

Image

I used dies and artwork from the Carnation Crafts Half & Half collection to make my easel card.  A collection I have had for a long time but used very little.  The flowers are decoupage and I embossed the card using my favourite embossing folder.  The heart in the centre was die cut using another favourite die and then the die cut numbers and sentiment added to complete the card.

This card is for some friends who are celebrating their Ruby Wedding Anniversary.

All the details of how to enter our challenge can be found over on the challenge blog.  I hope you'll be able to join us.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge # 183 - Hosted by Meg

Hello and welcome

Today a new challenge starts over at CD Sunday Plus and this challenge Meg is hosting.

This is the card I've made for my sister-in-laws birthday.  It took a long time to make!

Image

I used dies and artwork from the Tattered Lace Pressed Rose Collection.  The artwork is beautiful, as are the dies, but with them being so intricate, it took a bit of effort to cut them all out.

I used Lynda Chapman's white card (the brick) for my card base.  This is my go-to card as it's also great for printing onto.  The lilac card is adorable scoreable from hunkydory and the silver mirri card from my stash.  I layered all the flowers up using foam pads.  I was really pleased with how the card turned out.

I am currently trying to use collections that I either haven't used or have used very little.  I'm also trying to get ahead with all my birthday cards for this year, so should be able to kill 2 birds with 1 stone - watch this space!

All the details of how to enter our challenge can be found over on the challenge blog.  I hope you'll be able to join us.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge #182 - Hosted by Pamela

Hello and welcome to the start of a new challenge over at CD Sunday Plus.

A friend of ours is a very keen fisherman, and having recently retired is really getting time to enjoy his hobby.  This is the card I have made him for his birthday.

Image

I printed decoupage and backing paper from the Jolly Nation Men's cd-rom.  I love Jolly Nation and really wish they had released a cd with the Children's decoupage on too.  My supply is dwindling!

The mat that the image is sat on was die cut with Teardrop & Sweep dies from Carnation Crafts, another big favourite of mine!  The white and black card used are all from Lynda Chapman.

All the details of how to enter our challenge can be found over on the challenge blog.  I hope you'll be able to join us.

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge

 Hello

This is my entry into the current House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge which is Anything Goes.

Image

I love this image, but the decoupage took quite some cutting out!  I layered the decoupage onto white card, and then onto a 7 x 7 card with a matching coloured mat added.  I die cut the flags for the sentiments using dies from Creative Crafting world and finished the card with some gems.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

To make this card I used Tattered Lace Peaceful Picture dies and decoupage and I'm really pleased with how it came out.

I was asked to make a romantic card for a man to send his partner. He was delighted with it as was she!

I look forward to seeing your entries for this challenge.

CD Sunday Plus Challenge # 179 - Hosted by Meg

 Hello

Here we are well into March and the days are getting longer, although we are not having the best of weather here in Manchester and I often feel a bit like I'm living in a black hole!  Fortunately, I have lots of crafting to keep me occupied!

It's time for a new challenge over at CD Sunday Plus and we are all looking forward to seeing your fabulous creations.

Here is my card for this challenge:

This is the front of the card

And this is the inside

I used the Destinations cd-rom from Crafters Companion to make my card, and the frame for the front was cut with a Tattered Lace die.

Some close friends of ours have just been on the trip of a lifetime to Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.  I wanted to send a card to be waiting for them when they got back home.

I do hope you'll join us over on the challenge blog.

House-mouse & Friends Monday Challenge

 Hello

The challenge theme this week over at House-mouse & Friends is Anything Goes with the option to use green.

Here is my card:

Image

I used Joanna Sheen's decoupage cd-rom and printed and cut out the decoupage.  I printed a matching paper which I cut in half and used half on the front and the other half as an insert.

I chose some co-ordinating card to make my card base and then added a white mat layer before adding my backing paper.

Image

Here is the inside.

The card is larger than A5.

This is a birthday card for my sister, who has recently had her garden re-done but doesn't have flowers planted yet!

Thanks for visiting.
