This is the Christmas Card I made to send to some very good friends of ours. I used Creative Crafting Worlds cd-rom Once Upon A Christmas 2 which contains the most beautiful artwork and reminds us of the true meaning of Christmas.
I love how in this image all the animals are stood close by the stable, waiting for news of the birth of Jesus.
I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:
CD Sunday - 'Twas The Night Before Christmas.
Crafty Calendar - Christmas Time
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge - Anything Goes
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Cute or Anything Christmas
Have a lovely Christmas.

CD Sunday Challenge - Things With Wheels
This is my entry into the latest challenge at CD Sunday:
It's something quite different for me. I was asked to make a card for someone who had been a very keen roller-skater in their younger days. I decided to go with an iris folded image with I made using ribbon. I was really pleased with how it came out. The extra detail was made using glitter card and then I die cut the letter and numbers.
The pretty backing paper on the card was printed from the Makey Bakey Mouse cd-rom. Some purple card and silver mirri were used for the matting and layering.
Thanks for visiting my blog today.

CD Sunday Challenge - Let's Shape It Up
It's time for a new challenge over at the CD Sunday Challenge and this time we are asked to make shaped cards. Here is my entry:
I took a sheet of pearlescent black card from PaperMill and embossed it and folded it to create my card base.
I printed the shirt from Kraftyhands Sports Shirts cd-rom and added some decoupage to the centre. I added a panel to the back of the shirt to write a message. I cut the lovely star flourish using a die from Joanna Sheen, and the birthday greeting using a Crafters Companion edgeables die. I added a football brad to complete the card.

CD Sunday Challenge Fab n' Feminine
This is my entry into the latest challenge at CD Sunday:
I used the Fabulous Shoes cd from Katy Sue designs and printed one of the backing papers onto white card to create my card base.
I printed the main image onto photo paper and added this to the beautiful die cut using a Joy Die.
The butterflies were cut using dies from Crafters Companion Kimono range, to which I applied Debbi Moores enamelling magic.
The sentiment was also from the cd-rom.

Summer Vacation
The challenge at CD Sunday Challenge this week is 'Summer Vacation'.
I turned to my Popcorn the Bear Men's disc from Crafters Companion and chose a wonderful image from the decoupage section to make my card:

They look like they're having a great summer vacation to me!
I used an 8 x 8 card blank for my base, and chose this edging as it reminded me of ripples on water.
I embossed some blue cardstock from PaperMill using a Darice Clouds embossing folder, and the backing paper is from the Popcorn cd-rom. I used some fabulous glitter ribbon from Create and Craft across the centre and die cut the sentiment tag using Spellbinders dies. I added some clear gems above the fishes to represent them blowing bubbles!

Once Upon A Time
This is my entry into the latest challenge over at CD Sunday which is Once Upon A Time. I immediately thought of some Studio Light decoupage sheets I had in my stash which were perfect for the challenge:
Lots of first uses on this card! Yellow card embossed with my newest embossing folder, Floral Vine, from Crafters Companion. Backing paper printed from Flowers and Friendship cd-rom from Katy Sue - this is the first time I've used the cd. The die Snow White is sat on is Magic Mirror die from Crafters Companion, again its' first use, and I thought perfect as she is holding a mirror in her hand. The lace border die, from Joanna Sheen, had its' first use, cut into linen white card. The flowers are a Memory Box die, Seraphine Laurel, used here for the first time! I added tiny gems to the centres of the flowers.

No Images or Photos
No Images or Photos is the current theme over at CD Sunday Challenge. This one really got me thinking! I needed to make a card for a close friends birthday, so made it to fit in with the theme (sorry about my reflection in the card!):
I created my card blank from Centura Pearl Card. The beautiful die cut frame is from Crafters Companion cut into purple pearlescent card. The backing paper behind the frame is from the Flowers In Bloom 2 cd from Card Creations. The pink card is from Papermill and the silver mirri is from Create and Craft.
I created the flowers using a Britannia die, cut from Joanna Sheen's Elegance Satin card, coloured with promarkers. The centres for the flowers were also from Joanna Sheen. The leaves were cut using a Marianne die, again coloured with promarkers. This was my first time making these flowers and I'm really pleased with how they turned out.
Here is a close up of the Fuchsias:

CD Sunday - 'Let's Go Lilac'
Just in the nick of time, this is my entry into this week's CD Sunday Challenge which is 'Let's Go Lilac':
It uses the fabulous Debbi Moore cd-rom 'Glitter and Glitz' which I haven't used nearly enough.
I don't often use this fold but I thought it was a bit different. The based card is a lovely shade of lilac, and I added some glitter to the main image and lots of gems throughout the card.

Eye of the Tiger
This is my second entry into the current challenge at CD Sunday Challenge - Songs From The Movies. My choice this time is Eye of the Tiger from the film Rocky. Here is my card:
For the card I used the Walk On The Wild Side cd from Creative Crafting World. I printed off the decoupage image, which I matted onto gold, then black, then kraft card. I printed two of the backing papers from the cd-rom and matted them in the same way. The sentiment was from a Creative Crafting World popper pad and the leaves were die cut using a Marianne Die.

Lady In Red
Hello
The challenge this week at the CD Sunday Challenge is 'Songs from the Movies'. This one really got me thinking! I followed the current sketch over at Tuesday Morning Sketches and chose the song 'Lady In Red' from the film Working Girl to come up with the following card:
I used the Strictly Card Dancers cd-rom from Card Creations plus. and printed my chosen image 4 times so I could turn it into decoupage. The two backing papers I used are from the same cd-rom, I used a Spellbinders die to cut the black mat and used the same die to create a frame out of glitter card. I cut the trellis using a Crafters Companion die from Sara's Floral Delight collection and cut this to fit the frame. The black border and corner used Spellbinders Floral Doily accents and motifs dies, as did the flowers that were cut from matching backing paper and then finished with a black pearl in the centre.
I'm ashamed to say this is the first time I have used this cd-rom to create a card!
I would also like to enter my card in Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper Challenge.
Thanks for visiting my blog today. Please do visit the challenge blogs to see the wonderful cards the Design Team Members have created.

Happy Birthday CD Sunday Challenge
My favourite challenge is celebrating its' 6th Birthday.
To join in the celebrations, we've been asked to choose over favourite card or project that we've ever entered in the challenge. I haven't been participating in the challenge for the whole 6 years, but I did have a lot of entries to look through! I now have quite a selection of cd-roms, and this challenge has without a doubt encouraged me to use my cd's more.
The entry I have chosen is this one
and the original post can be found here.
I chose this card because it used lots of different techniques, it used toppers and papers printed from Crafters Companions Christmas in Mulberry Wood cd, it followed a sketch, included embossing, ribbons, and hand-made beads. I was really pleased with how it worked out.
I hope you'll join in the celebrations. You don't have to have entered previously to join in. If you are new to the challenge, you can still enter a card you have made using a cd, as long as you credit the cd in your post.
You can link up your card here.
A big thank you to the ladies at CD Sunday for the fab challenges they continue to set for us. Happy Birthday!

I Spot Some Puppies
This is the birthday card I made for a little girl who is 2, she loves dogs! I followed the current challenge theme over at Kraftyhands Challenge Blog which this month is Red, White, Blue and Shields.
This adorable image is from Kraftyhands Cute Puppies and Kittens cd-rom. I printed it onto glossy photo paper. The backing paper, bow and sentiment are all from the cd-rom. I used Tonic dies to cut the mats that the image is sat on. I used the same dark blue card and a die from Joanna Sheen to cut the decorative border, and hand cut the shield. I used a Cheery Lynn number die, which I cut from red glitter card.
I would also like to enter my card in the following challenges:
Crafting From The Heart - Anything Goes
Crafty Calendar Challenge - Anything Goes
Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog - Raining Cats and Dogs

Get Well Wishes
The current challenge over at The CD Sunday Challenge Blog is Get Well Wishes. This is my card for the challenge:
I used an 8 x 8 fancy edge card blank for my base card. I chose an image from Halcyon Days cd-rom from Crafters Companion which I printed 4 times onto glossy photo paper. I then cut the images to create a decoupage. This was then matted onto dark blue cardstock from Papermill and a silver border peel off added.
I chose a pretty backing paper from the same cd-rom and printed this onto smooth printer paper. I then embossed some blue cardstock, again from Papermill using a kites embossing folder from Crafters Companion and cut out two equal squares. I chose some sand coloured Coredinations card from Crafters Companion and embossed this using a beach huts embossing folder, again from Crafters Companion. I then cut this into a further two equal squares. Some pretty lace was added across the centre of the card.
Finally, I stamped the sentiment using a Lili Of The Valley stamp and heat embossed using fine detail silver embossing powder. This was then fussy cut and added to the card.
I love the images on this cd-rom, they are all so cheery and I feel sure to give anyone feeling under the weather a bit of a boost.

All Creatures Great and Small
This is my entry into the current challenge over at CD Sunday Challenge:
My dad is going to be 90 at the end of the month and this is the card I have made for him.
I used the latest Pollyanna Pickering dvd-rom from Creative Crafting World, A Walk in the Wild. I printed the toppers onto glossy photo paper and printed a backing paper from the dvd. I matted all the toppers onto black card.
The Happy Birthday and Special Day senitments are both Crafters Companion dies which I die cut from black card. The letters and numbers are Cheery Lynn dies, The star dies are X-cut. The greenery was also cut using dies from Crafters Companion.
I layered the images onto the card using various thicknesses of 3d foam.
Thanks for visiting.

Come let us go to Bethlehem
This is my entry into the current challenge at The Christmas Challenge which is Jesus is Born:
I've had great difficulty photographing this card!
I used Centura Pearl card which I stamped randomly with a Stamperama stamp and heat embossed in Crystal embossing powder (which doesn't show up in the photo) and then detail white embossing powder. I used guilding flakes around the edges.
The nativity scene stamp is from Stamp addicts, which I stamped onto white card and then added some sand-coloured ink. I cut this out and then added it to the Centura Pearl card which again I had added guilding flakes to the edge. I stamped the star and then applied guilding flakes to this as well.
The sentiment - which says Come let us go to Bethlehem - came from the same stamp set, was stamped and embossed using detail gold embossing powder. Guilding flakes were added to the edge once again.

CD Sunday Challenge - Thank You
Good Afternoon
Here is my entry for this weeks challenge over at the CD Sunday Challenge which has a theme of 'Thank You'.
I used a 6 x 6 white card blank onto which I layered some turquoise card. Onto this I put the beautiful backing paper which is printed from Crafters' Companions Kimono cd-rom.
I then took a piece of Centura Pearl card which I die-cut and embossed using Spellbinders labels 20 and Scalloped borders 2. The embossing in the corners was done using a die that came free with a magazine some time ago.
I die cut 2 smaller labels 20's, and stamped the sentiment onto the smallest using a Lili of the Valley sentiment and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink. The sentiment was then heat embossed using Crystal Transparent Embossing Powder.
The flowers and branches were created using Kimono Blossom Branch dies with a gem added to the centre of each flower.
I printed a matching insert from the cd-rom to complete the card.
Thank you for visiting my blog today.

House-Mouse and Friends Challenge
Hi
This is my entry into the House-Mouse and Friends Challenge. I actually meant to post it for the last challenge but left it too late, but fortunately for me every challenge has an anything goes option so I'm still able to enter it!
Once again, access to the internet has cost me! I saw a card made using these patchwork dies from Crealies. I loved the effect so decided to treat myself. I opened the dies as soon as they arrived and used them to make this Valentine's card for my hubby. I can see I'll get lots of use from these dies.
I drew around the largest die to make my card base, then cut the shape again from red card, then again from the lovely backing paper from Joanna Sheens' Gruffies & Happy Hoppers cd-rom. The main image was also from this lovely cd-rom. I printed out the wording I wanted, die cut the shapes, then went round the edges using ultra thick embossing enamel, Unfortunately it doesn't show up very well in the picture.
I printed the matching insert from the cd rom to complete the card.
Thanks for visiting my blog today,

CD Sunday Challenge - Add A Button Or Buttons
Hello
Thanks for visiting my blog today.
I've had a lovely leisurely time crafting today. I've had a rotten week health wise so it was nice to spend some time doing something I enjoy. It was about all I had the energy for!
This is my entry into the current challenge at CD Sunday Challenge which is 'add a button or buttons':
Do pop across and visit the challenge blog. It's a great way of encouraging you to use your cd's and you're always guaranteed a warm welcome.
I know it's a little bit late to be making a calendar but I needed to make a thank you card for my brother-in-law who lives in the Highlands so decided to turn it into a calendar instead!
I used elements from the Tweedies cd-rom and papercraft kit from Crafters Companion. The Calendar is sat on a mat created using a Spellbinders Belly Band die. The branches and flowers are made using a combination of Crafters Companion and Marianne dies, finished in the centres with some gorgeous gems that I got some time ago from Joanna Sheen.
I die cut the buttons using Tattered lace dies and then triple-embossed them using extra thick embossing powder. I threaded some embroidery thread through each one.
The tag was another of the elements from the cd rom. The 'With Love' sentiment was die cut twice using a Tattered Lace die and layered to create a shadow effect.
Have a lovely weekend.

CD Sunday Challenge - 'Seasons'
Good Morning
This is my entry into the current challenge over at CD Sunday Challenge which is 'Seasons'. It was my birthday earlier this week and I was lucky enough to receive A Winter Walk In The Countryside cd-rom from Creative Crafting World, which I have wanted for a long time. I therefore have chosen 'Winter' as my season:
The image, backing paper and bow were all printed from the cd and I used Kraft card for all my matting and layering which I embossed with a Sue Wilson embossing folder. I added some red gems to each corner for a pop of colour.
I also printed the matching insert from the cd, the inserts are all text-editable, so I could add my message before printing.
There was a spare insert on the printed sheet, so I added this to the back of the card!
Thanks for visiting my blog today.

The snowflakes were die cut using a Cheery Lynn die, then heat embossed firstly using Crystal Transparent Embossing Powder and then adding a touch of gold embossing powder.
The Seasons Greetings sentiment was die cut from gold holographic card.
